Allow me to introduce myself as your child’s 8th Grade US History Teacher! I will be your student’s US History Teacher for the 2022-2023 School Year. My name is Mr. Tingling-Clemmons, but please call me Mr. TC, this is my 12th year teaching and 9th with Jefferson Academy. I am a graduate of Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in History and Spanish. I have a master’s degree from Lehigh University in Education.
This year students will explore US History from Native Americans until the Reconstruction and beyond. This course is designed primarily to prepare students for High School level work in the amount of work assigned and rigor. This course this year will be “thematic” students will venture through US History each unit based on a different theme that seeks to allow each student to question “their” own identity through American History.
